Album: Aawaz
Artiste: Various
Genre: Aadhunik/Pop
Rating: **1/2

Aawaz has songs composed by Nagendra Shrestha, written by Ram K Bantuwa and vocals performed by Bikal Pradhan, Aava Mukarung and the composer himself. The first song Aawaz Sanga Sabda sung in Nagendra's distinctive tone has good lyrics. Bikal Pradhan's voice in Ma Harayeko Bela is pleasant. Aankha Bhari Pani has been made into a soft rock song but needs more variation. All the tracks have similar flow, ordinary melody line and common progression. Mainstream Aadhunik listeners might enjoy this album.

Album: Life
Artiste: Raz Deep
Genre: Pop
Rating: **

This album Life starts with Mero Manle, a simple number common to mainstream pop music. Mero Maya has a little reggae feel in it but the melody is as common as any other song today. Ashis Deu Aama with a bit of metal touch is different from other songs in this album in terms of lyrics and composition. Overall, Raz Deep needs more practice and selection skills to come up with songs of varied composition, lyrics and orchestration. With some effort, Raz Deep could do better.

Album: Yo Sansar
Band: Mt 8848
Genre: Rock
Rating: **1/2

The songs in Yo Sansar have good music programming and guitar works. The lyrics, however, are commonplace and the vocals and harmony leave much to be desired. Raat Gujarna, a gypsy-flavoured rock song and Saathi, a country number with an Irish feel are catchy. Yo Sansar, which has been made into a metal number, has beautiful lyrics. Mero Chhati is a good song in 6/8 rhythm but could have been better with vocal control. The lead guitarist has tremendous potential. With improved drums and vocals, Mt.8848 could do well.
