Even though we can't make it to Germany, we can still make our favourite teams win. How? Take a backseat and relax while we run you through four favourite football video games.

2006 FIFA World Cup - EA SPORTS™
This is FIFA World Cup Germany 2006's exclusive official video game. It has spectacular visual representations of superstar footballers and all 12 official stadiums. Gamers can steer their favourite team from qualification to virtual reproduction of the final match in Germany. The best part? Winning the World Cup with the nation of your choice. The footballers play like they do in real life. This is your dream, your World Cup!

World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 International

A great soccer game but with a few flaws. This is the eighth instalment of the winning eleven soccer game series, which started off with just J league teams. It slowly evolved bringing in international teams because of its popularity in Japan. The training in the game is the most enjoyable part as it is very detailed and will help you get into the game fairly quickly. The game play is intense with realistic graphics.

2006 FIFA World Cup (XBox 360)

Not the official video game but 2006 FIFA World Cup, marketed by EA Sports' brand, has amazing visuals of superstar players and official stadiums. It takes you through all the matches with realistic ease. In fact, it's a bit too easy to get into a one-on-one situation. Details such as Beckham's tattoo are included. Graphics and audio are impressive. XBox 360 doesn't take you to the extreme but makes you look forward to FIFA 07 and Pro Evo 6.

Pro Evolution Soccer 5

This game is a must buy for football fans. It isn't your usual football game with old lobs, shoots and passes. It has cool tricks like jumping, dodging, skilling and more. The graphics are unbeatable and the players very realistic. The audience is just a 2D paper cut but that's the only minus point. The sound is great, the voice act and soundtrack combined makes it an experience for even those who don't like playing football video games.
