Two-year-old Sudin

Born on: 23 February (won't tell which year) in Kathmandu. Grew up in Biratnagar, my hometown.

Dad is a professor of Political Science, teaches in Public Administration College. People call me 'Pokhrelsir ko chhora'. Mom used to work as ophthalmic assistant at Nepal Eye Hospital. My sister is a web page designer, she's now in Australia.

Education SLC from St Joseph's School, Biratnagar. IA and BA in Journalism from Ratna Rajya Campus, Kathmandu. MA in English Literature from Tribhuvan University.

Music Trained for two years in Nepali Classical Music at Omee Institute in 1997. Two years later, formed The Spokes band with Sugam Pokharel and released two singles. We separated in 1999 but are good friends still.

Bad patch Was depressed for six months when my girlfriend ended our five-year long affair and married someone else. Also, found no job. Recovery In 2001, Girish Khatiwada called me for Back Again. I featured in Ma Yesto Chhu, Ma Usto Chhu, which became a hit and slowly, I recovered. Aankha Bhari Naach Chhau established me as a rapper. I'm in a relationship again and life is good.

DA 69's DA stands for Dead Alive. I adopted it after my depression period because I had become a different person.

ANUP PRAKASH

Formed another group as The Unity with Aid Ray in 2004 and released X in 2005. I don't want to go solo. Anyway, Aid Ray is a great guy to work with.

Worth Rs 15,000 per song at concerts. I refused to perform at Jay Sean's concert because the pay was very low.

Favourite hip-hop artistes Dr Dre and Nepsydaz'.

Instruments I play the harmonium and tabla very well.

Sports Back in Biratnagar, I played as opening bowler and middle order batsman in a local cricket team. I used to watch Doordarshan for cricket matches and listen to commentaries on All India Radio. In 2002, I applied to Kantipur Television and landed the job of a newsreader. We trained for six months and since sports was my passion, I later joined the sports desk.

Fear of water. I can't swim, I have hydrophobia. Once I went for rafting but couldn't even cross a small river and had to literally be carried by the driver.

In the kitchen I can cook. I make good Cauli ko tarkari, tomato and radish pickle.

Bad habits I drink sometimes but no, I don't smoke.

Fitness regime I'm a more spiritual sort of person. I practiced Vipassana meditation for 25 days. Also, I can control my anger.

Films I watch a lot of films. Every time there's a new movie at Jai Nepal or Kumari, I go with my friends Asif and Yopesh or my girlfriend. Books Am no bookwork, I doze off after four lines.

Out of the blue In Pokhara while I was performing, a girl from the audience just climbed on stage, hugged and kissed me. I got so nervous, I didn't know what to do.

Plans Watch World Cup 2006, am an England supporter. After that, continue what I'm doing -- TV and music. I don't want to go abroad, I'm pretty content with all that's happening here.
