After promotional spots on KATH 97.9 FM and HITS FM, and the evident popularity of their last concerts, it wasn't a surprise that 1974 AD- Bacha Ra bachna Deu (live and let live) sold out before the day of the concert. Everyone who came looked like they were there for one reason only- to experience 1974 AD live! The concert was divided into two sessions, with a break inbetween. The area before the stage was crowded with dancing fans reaching out to band memebers with outstretched arms. 1974 AD performed hits like Pahilo Junima and Chudaina. Sambodhan was the highlight of the show. Adrian (drummer/vocalist) sang while a photo montage of late King Birendra by 4 Drops was projected on a screen. The band and the audience sang along to what became an emotion-laden version of the song. The performance recived a standing ovation.

The band clearly had as good a time as their audience. Nirakar, Manoj, Bhanu and Brian danced and jumped around, occasionally shaking hands with fans at the edge of the stage.

Proceeds from Bacha Ra Bachna Deu will fund the Jasutara Art Foundation for Children. The foundation was established in memory of Jasmine and Taraneh Baidhya who died in a tragic Thai Air crash in 1992. Jasutara Art Foundation will work with underprivilvedged children from Kathmandu. The managing committee of the foundation includes Susan Shrestha, Jasmine's sister, and 1974 AD frontman Nirakar Yaktumba.

The concert, one of the major ones of the band in Kathmandu, was organised by Vogue Ad & Event Management headed by Prabhat Rimal. The sponsors were Jawalakhel Distillery, Himalayan Bank and the recently introduced Bullet Royal Enfield. Their last big concert was in Hong Kong for the Nepali New Year. The band will embark on a North American tour later this .
