Karma Zimba, 29 –Runs Little Italy, a swinging joint.

Why pizza, why Sikkim?
I went to Goa to "live" life, and learned a lot. I got a lot of experience running some places while I was there, but also had a lot of fun. Decided to give something special to Sikkim, something that wasn't typical. The food here is great, and unexpected. People need more than just "fuel," and our food is beautiful and consumable. It's like art. It's also a great place to come to, and hang out.

I'm originally from Sikkim, so I figured, WHY NOT? Sikkim needs more things, more new things. I provide a place, and a location for something new. At first, I got a lot of criticism, and negative feedback. I figured that I needed to do what I wanted to do, and that other people's opinions shouldn't stop me. I've had a lot of challenges, but I'd say Little Italy is pretty successful. Come and visit me!

Any advice?
Do what you want to do and believe in it. You can't be afraid. Don't hesitate. You gotta love what you want to do, and you gotta do it with 100%.

Raman Shrestha 27 –Runs Rachna Book store.

How did you get here, and what are you doing?
At first, I did hotel management in Pokhara, and then sought my life out in Delhi. After some soul-searching, I came back to Sikkim and something I love. Books. They excite me. I am helping with the revival of something important. The love of books. I always grew up surrounded by them and had a voracious appetite. I think that kids nowadays don't know how to appreciate a book anymore, with cable tv, gaming consoles, and stereos.

I provide a very unique place; this books store has a warm, wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. It's a great environment to find and develop new interests. It isn't quite in town. People step into bookstores in town when it rains. I'm not selling umbrellas. People need to have a love and appreciation for books to come to my place. I don't just have books for learning. I provide literature and material for mental stimulation and enjoyment. I have more than the average bookstore. I've got comic books, art, maps, stickers, drawing contests, and I've got a warm cup of tea for you.

Anything else?
I learned a lot while doing hotel management. It is about PR and knowing how to make relationships with people, and giving people not just what they want, but what they need, plus a little extra effort. You've got to do something important, and important to you. You've gotta love what you are going to do.
