KFM’s seventh b’day

Kantipur FM 96.1 turned seven this October. At its celebration programme held in Pulchok, veteran singer Phatteman Rajbhandari was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also Kantipur FM's 'Hot Property' for the month of Kartik. Kantipur FM also launched its official website www.kfm961.com and five new station jingles sung by Robin Tamang, Nima Rumba, 1974 AD, Abhaya and the Steam Injuns and Nabin K Bhattarai. With a repeater tower at Bhedetar, Dharan, Kantipur FM was the first FM station to the reach beyond the Valley to Kabhrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok, Nuwakot, Dhading, Dolakha, Ramchhap, Makwanpur, Gorkha, Syangja, Palpa, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Siraha, Morang, Jhapa, and other eastern regions.
