Dasain, Robin and The Shadows
Dasain away from home in the October issue was interesting. I hope WAVE will continue to include such sections. Belated Bijaya Dasami and best wishes for Tihar.

I've been a regular WAVE reader since I was a kid and am not surprised to know that WAVE is now the numero uno magazine in Nepal. I'm not that much of a letter writer but the last issue compelled me to write. Dasain away from home was one of the best things WAVE has published till date. I feel sad for all those Nepalis living abroad (including my cousins) but reading the story made me feel happy because there are people who miss their homeland and still celebrate the festival in their own unique ways. Thanks a ton for the poster of The Shadows (Swapnil is certainly the cutest guy I've seen). Hope to see more of them in the coming issues.

My happiness knew no bounds when I saw the awesome colour picture of my favourite band The Shadows in the October issue. Greatness does come in different sizes, and this time it was in the form of that poster. The Shadows are really rocking the town. They are the next band to watch out for after Robin and the New Revolution. Thanks for the song Hidne manchhe ladchha in the songbook too.

Happy Dasain to everybody at WAVE. Thanks for featuring Robin Tamang of Robin and the New Revolution. I got to know a lot more about Robin Tamang, whose great fan I am.

Posers and woes
Can't really say I'm enjoying what I'm reading. Feels very like "posers". That sums up the personality of this magazine.
-Bhaskar Pradhan
I can't believe you guys didn't publish my email. You waste pages on stupid sections and make no space for feedbacks. Maybe if I say something very, very nice about WAVE, this email will get printed? Well, I won't until you guys do something that's worth it.

WAVE Fans
I'm Khushboo Shrestha from Japan. I really love this magazine and read all the articles published. WAVE you are the best. Keep it up!
-Khushboo, Japan
I like WAVE because it has news about singers, great pictures, and songbook. Thanks for continuing.
-Roshan Rai
Am a great fan. The Useless Gyan and Quiz Whiz were great, funny and useful. I will be giving SLC this year with many others. Please make some package programme for us.
-Ramesh Gurung
This month's issue was really fab—poster, songbook, cover story, everything. But there have only been girls on the cover for many issues. Seriously, where are the male celebrities?

Young ideas
All the Tibetans and I staying in Nepal were very pleased to read something about Tibetans and Nepalis. The topic and the conversation between Tibetan and Nepali students in Young Ideas, October WAVE, was very nice. We all liked it. Through such conversations, the relationship between Tibetans and Nepalis will surely improve with time. I hope to read more about things related to Tibet and Tibetans in the future.

I've been reading WAVE for as long as I can remember. Though I'm not in Nepal right now, I love reading it on the Internet. The new look to your web page is much better. In the April issue, I was amazed to see dandi biyo being discussed. I was just telling a friend here about the sport. And no surprise, he found it ridiculous. I told him about the controversy surrounding our national game. Luckily, I played dandi biyo in school though I studied in Kathmandu Valley. I also played cricket, which was similar. But I thought when it was stroke thrice, the distance was measured by the biyo and then doubled and when hit four times, it tripled and so on. Looks like another rule made on the go (lol).

I've been in Kuwait for a couple of years. I was an addicted reader of WAVE back in college. Then I got married and began working in foreign lands, everything grew distant, WAVE included. Then last week, in nepalnews.com, I saw WAVE's website ad. I have my magazine even here! All the articles were interesting. I liked the cover story on Achham the most. Thanks for reaching out through the Internet.

OBITUARY
Prashant BK (Babu) of The Shadows band lost his beloved parents, DB and Mina Bishwokarma, in a bus accident in Dharan on 19 October. Babu's mother was a teacher and his father, a businessman. At this grave hour, on behalf of Babu's band-mates and The Shadows' fans, WAVE would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the Bishwokarma family. As lead guitarist Prakash Rasaily says, "Babu's parents were like our friends, they gave us tremendous support. It's a difficult time and we want Babu to know that we are here for him."
