The St. Xavier's Campus Alumni Association and the class of 2002 organised Bykathon 2002. The main drive behind this cycle rally was to raise funds for the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital in Jorpati. About 150 enthusiasts rallied their way from Xavier's college (Maitighar), making rest stops at Hotel Marcoplo, Dwarika's Hotel and the Hyatt Regency before finally arriving at their destination, the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital in Jorpati. Certificates and prizes were distributed to the participants and refreshments were served at the hospital. The participants included students from various schools and colleges in Kathmandu as well as the hospital staff.

Every participant collected a sum of Rs.100/km of his or her journey, which totalled to about Rs.1000 per participant on an average. Despite the rain and the countless puddles on the way, it was difficult to keep a good spirit down. A sum of Rs.1.75 lakhs was presented to the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital on its anniversary on the 14th of August.
