On the occasion of the 13th day, Ishwor Gurung with his group the Himalayan Feelings did a little something to pay their respects to the royal family that passed away in a tragic event at the royal palace. Himalayan Feelings performed at the New Orleans in Thamel and they explained to the people there what it was all about. `It almost seemed like they understood us more than Nepalis do. I mean, such a tragic thing has happened and none of the artists have done anything to pay respects. There were a lot of people, no one clapped because it was a sign of mourning and not a celebration.' said Ishwor.

The band played what is known as bilap rags, tunes played on sad occasions such as the passing away of someone. Photos of the royal family were also garlanded and a puja was done.
