International Music Fest at The Club:
Friday, 22nd June 2001: An invitation only event, organized by The Club (Bhatbhateni) and members of 1974 A.D., the Friday night event staged a host of artists, national and international to celebrate International Music Day. Most people remained seated during the solo performances in the garden, but once the band sessions started inside the hall with the Rusty Nails, bodies started moving on the dance floor. Rusty Nails also invited on stage Prarthana Sherchan to sing with them before closing their session, but after getting an en core, she went to perform one more song with the band and made way for the 1974 A.D. Prarthana sang and played the piano earlier that evening, accompanied by her younger sister Prakriti Sherchan, who backed her on the vocals. We wanted to do an invitation-only-show because we wanted to make sure everybody present would have a comfortable evening. We had organised ticket shows before, but there were problems with that as too many people wanted to attend, and there was no place for people to even sit' said Nirakar (organizer/1974 A.D). 'Important part is to make sure that people are having a good time' he added.
